en.Wedoany.com Reported - Loop Global, a turnkey electric vehicle (EV) charging solution provider, has completed the installation of 64 Level 2 EV charging stations at a multifamily residential development in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood. The project was reportedly completed in May but was actually finished and energized in early 2026, making it one of the larger charging station installations in multifamily buildings in the area.

The adoption rate of EV charging stations in multifamily residential buildings remains low, making the progress of such projects noteworthy. Residents can charge their vehicles within the community, which is more convenient than relying on public charging stations. The overall pace of EV charging infrastructure development in Massachusetts is not fast, and the completion of new projects helps improve this situation.

Rob Kutner, Chief Commercial Officer of Loop Global, answered related questions regarding project details. Design and incentive applications began in early 2025, with actual installation work starting in October 2025. The entire project took approximately one year from planning to commissioning, with the installation phase lasting several months.

Approximately 70% of the total project cost was covered by the Eversource incentive program, which paid for the charging infrastructure for all 64 ports and part of the charging hardware costs.

These charging stations are available to residents 24 hours a day, allowing them to charge overnight or during extended parking periods without adjusting their schedules based on charger availability. The Loop network continuously monitors the status and performance of the charging stations to ensure the reliability of charging services.

The charging stations are located in a parking garage with secure access control, serving only the residents of the community's 247 residential units and their guests, and are not open to the public.
