en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's first fixed-wing aircraft platform for comprehensive atmospheric environment detection, the "Y-12F Atmospheric Comprehensive Survey Aircraft," recently completed its maiden flight successfully at Harbin Pingfang Airport.
It is reported that this aircraft, based on the Y-12F platform, has undergone large-scale integration and modification of over 60 mission equipment items to meet the high-sensitivity three-dimensional detection needs of atmospheric particulate matter, gaseous pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud water physical chemistry. It possesses integrated aerial survey capabilities for multi-pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud water detection. The successful development of this aircraft will provide an important vertical detection means for regional air pollution monitoring in China.
The Y-12F aircraft, developed by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group, is an 8-ton class utility/regional turboprop aircraft with notable advantages in payload and space. It is also the only domestically produced civil aircraft model that has simultaneously obtained type certificates from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
The head of the development team stated that the aircraft is expected to undergo over 30 hours of typical regional test flights in the future, conducting functional and effectiveness verification of mission equipment at different altitudes and environments.
