en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 7th International Mineral Flotation Conference, Flotación 2026, will be held from August 20 to 21, 2026, at the Sheraton Lima Hotel in Peru, focusing on core technical challenges in flotation processes such as clay control, mineral recovery, copper production modeling, and operational experience. The conference is organized by InterMet, with Karim Batallanos, General Manager of Glencore Antapaccay, serving as Chair.

Santiago Honores, Senior Metallurgist in Copper-Molybdenum Flotation from Chile's Codelco, will deliver a presentation titled "Impact of Froth Rheology on Clay Control," analyzing factors affecting the stability and efficiency of flotation processes involving clay-bearing minerals. Limdbergh Ruben Capcha Milla, Technical Coordinator at Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde, will share insights on "Operational Excellence to Maximize Copper-Molybdenum Recovery from Low-Grade Molybdenum Feed." Hernán Guerrero, Chief Metallurgist at Minera Las Bambas, will present a report on "Copper Production Model at Las Bambas, Peru," covering analysis and management experience in large-scale mining operations. Marcelo Rodríguez, Manager of Metallurgy and Process Control at Chile's Compañía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi SCM, will share experience related to inventory management and recovery in mining processes.
In addition to experts from Peru and Chile, the conference will welcome international representatives from Australia, Canada, China, South Africa, and Mexico. Participating companies include Cerro Verde, Las Bambas, Minera Bateas, Hudbay, Collahuasi, Marcobre, Chinalco, Minsur, Volcán, and Glencore Antapaccay, along with over 30 concentrator plants.
