en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Xu Niansha, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), attended the opening ceremony of the 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos Forum) of the World Economic Forum in Dalian, Liaoning Province. Approximately 1,800 political and business leaders, representatives of international organizations, and academic elites from over 90 countries and regions participated. Themed "Scaling Innovation," this year's meeting focused on cutting-edge topics including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and biotechnology. The forum released several authoritative research reports, such as the "Energy Transition Index" and "Top 10 Emerging Technologies," providing references for global industrial development and economic recovery.

During the annual meeting, President Xu Niansha met with Alois Zwinggi, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum. Mr. Zwinggi thanked President Xu and his organization for their long-standing support to the World Economic Forum and expressed hope for further deepening bilateral collaboration.

Additionally, President Xu Niansha held talks with Ali Mudaifa, Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bahraini side introduced its economic policies and business environment, expressing hope that more Chinese machinery enterprises would develop in Bahrain. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on cooperation potential in sectors such as engineering machinery, industrial machinery, and automobiles. Iain Lindsay, Board Advisor; Nada AlSaeed, Chief Strategy Officer; and Pei Difei, Representative in China, from the Economic Development Board of the Kingdom of Bahrain, also attended the meeting.

During the forum, President Xu Niansha met with Xia Deren, member of the Economic Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and former Chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; Gong Fuqing, Chairman of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the CPPCC; Jiang Bin, Vice Chairman of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; and Duan Hongtao, Deputy Director of the Dalian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. During the discussions, Gong Fuqing expressed sincere gratitude to President Xu Niansha and the China Machinery Industry Federation for their long-term concern for Dalian's industrial development and their support for the transformation and upgrading of the local machinery industry. He noted that Dalian has a strong foundation in equipment manufacturing and unique advantages in industrial agglomeration, and expressed hope for regular industrial seminars, project matchmaking, and industry exchanges in the future.

On June 23, as part of the forum's series of activities, President Xu Niansha was invited to attend and speak at the Industrial Internet 2.0 Closed-Door Forum. He stated that China's machinery industry has a massive scale and ample scenarios for AI deployment, but large-scale promotion is currently constrained by challenges such as technology costs, data standards, coordination mechanisms, and professional talent. He introduced that CMIF is building multiple platforms for science and technology innovation, standards, talent, and international cooperation to facilitate the intelligent upgrade of the industry. The federation will continue to uphold the principle of open collaboration, promote compliant data sharing, deepen international industrial exchanges, and work with global partners to seize opportunities in the development of the industrial internet. His insights on data security and cross-border data transmission were well-received by the audience and sparked lively discussions among participants.
