en.Wedoany.com Reported - ZIM has announced the launch of its new exclusive service, the ZIM Falcon Service (ZFS), connecting Asia with major ports in the Rio de la Plata region (covering Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay), scheduled to commence in September 2026.

The new service's port rotation is: Shanghai—Ningbo—Hong Kong—Yantian—Rio de Janeiro—Santos—Paranaguá—Navegantes—Montevideo—Buenos Aires—Shanghai. ZIM stated that ZFS offers market-leading transit times for time-sensitive cargo from South China and provides the fastest return service from the Rio de la Plata region to the Far East, creating significant advantages for agricultural and industrial exporters in the region.

The maiden voyage is set for September 13, with the first port of call being the Port of Shanghai. This service further expands access from major ports on the East Coast of South America and strengthens the region's connectivity with ZIM's global network.

Key advantages of ZFS include: market-best transit times of 24 days from Yantian to Rio de Janeiro and 26 days to Santos; direct service from Buenos Aires to Shanghai in just 27 days and to Ningbo in 29 days; fast direct shipping from Yantian to Argentina and the Rio de la Plata region; enhanced service to Paranaguá and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil; specialized cargo handling and reefer solutions, ensuring cold chain integrity through extensive reefer plug availability and one of the youngest reefer fleets in the industry; and support for the transport of out-of-gauge cargo, dangerous goods, and electric vehicles.

Prior to the launch of ZFS, ZIM's ASE service will continue full operations. Eran Epstein, Vice President of ZIM's Latin America Business Unit, stated that the launch of ZFS strengthens the company's presence in the Asia-South America East Coast trade and enhances its ability to provide reliable, fast, and flexible solutions to customers.
