en.Wedoany.com Reported - CALIVERSE, a subsidiary of Lotte Innovate, has officially launched an immersive commerce service that combines AI and digital twin technology, and is expanding the business in collaboration with Lotte ON, the e-commerce platform under Lotte Group, and Lotte Hi-Mart, a home appliance retailer.

Positioned as a next-generation shopping model integrating AI, digital twins, and virtual spaces, the service aims to allow consumers to browse, experience, and select products online as if they were in a physical store. It seeks to address pain points of online shopping, such as the inability to physically examine products before purchase and the lack of face-to-face interaction with sales staff, thereby aiding purchase decisions. For brands, the service is expected to extend user dwell time and improve purchase conversion rates. The service runs on the web and requires no additional app downloads, making it accessible on PCs, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.

In the AI Styling Shop, launched in partnership with Lotte ON, users can utilize AI-based virtual try-on and styling features. This function uses a body-proportioned avatar combined with AI clothing simulation technology to naturally drape garments onto the avatar, overcoming the difficulty of predicting fit and silhouette when shopping for clothes online. Consumers can mix and match tops and bottoms from the "Sporty & Rich" brand under Lotte GFR within the styling shop. Using 3D simulation technology, details such as fabric texture, wrinkles, drape, and length are rendered, allowing users to intuitively perceive an effect close to real-life wear. After browsing various coordinated items in the brand hall, the page can directly link to product details and purchase entry points.

The "PLUX Virtual Store," launched jointly with Lotte Hi-Mart, targets the home appliance category. Home appliances have relatively high unit prices, and purchase decisions are influenced by factors such as specifications, installation environment, and usage purpose, making detailed product information and consultation experiences crucial. CALIVERSE uses digital twin technology to reproduce the product's appearance and internal structure, enabling consumers to compare and view products in three dimensions. Meanwhile, an AI Advisor provides real-time explanations of product features, core functions, usage methods, and purchase considerations. Users can complete the entire process from browsing and consultation to purchase within the service, just like consulting in a physical store.

CALIVERSE stated that it will use this collaboration as a starting point to expand the model into various industries, including fashion, home appliances, lifestyle, beauty, entertainment, and education. Future plans include continuous feature upgrades, such as optimizing the AI Styling Shop for customer body types, launching AI-based personalized product recommendations, and building virtual stores based on an AI panorama. A CALIVERSE official noted that the service aims to use AI and digital twin technology to compensate for the shortcomings of online shopping and create differentiated shopping experiences for customers. The company will expand the application scenarios of AI and 3D capabilities through intra-group collaboration, upgrade next-generation immersive commerce capabilities, and support AI transformation (AX) across multiple industries.
