en.Wedoany.com Reported - Azul Containers has completed the delivery of a 40-foot high-cube container home in Amparo, São Paulo state, Brazil. The house was unloaded and seated on its foundation approximately 2 hours after arriving on site, and was ready for occupancy the same day.

Two-bedroom container home delivered by truck, seated on foundation within 2 hours, ready for occupancy the same day—Amparo, São Paulo state

According to records released by Azul Containers, the delivered home was converted from a 40-foot high-cube container and includes two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The operation team departed the factory at 5 a.m., arrived at the site at 8:30 a.m., and completed unloading around 10:30 a.m., with the entire process taking about 2 hours. Before the truck left, the team also welded the roof water tank guard and the gas tank guard at the end of the house. Azul Containers stated that the team used its own equipment for unloading because the cost of renting a Munck-type truck-mounted crane locally was too high.

The delivery was expedited because the client had prepared a cast-in-place concrete raft foundation in advance. Azul Containers noted that the raft foundation is larger than the house, intentionally leaving space for future balconies on both sides. Drainage pipes were connected by the client's mason after the house was in place to avoid measurement error risks.

The interior design follows the standard layout for a 40-foot container: the entrance door faces the street, leading to an open-plan kitchen with a small living room. The bedroom layout was customized according to the client's requirements, with one bedroom converted into a living room with a sofa bed. The larger bedroom (3 meters long) features sliding doors leading to a future balcony. The bathroom is tiled in white, with a 1m x 0.8m corner shower, click-lock vinyl flooring, a toilet, and a washbasin.

All windows are fitted with sliding protective panels made from container sheets, which slide over the glass and can lock the house when unoccupied. When the panels are closed, the rooms become completely dark, eliminating the need for curtains. Outdoor lighting was pre-installed at the factory, with three wall lamps on each exterior wall, and provisions for air conditioning and TV antenna connections.

The house is insulated with rock wool, using a method adapted from light steel frame systems. Azul Containers stated that the insulation layer is designed for the house's full-time exposure to sunlight and rain, providing comfortable living conditions, and that future additions of roofing and shading can further enhance performance.

The client plans to carry out subsequent work after delivery, including planting hedges, building roofed balconies on both sides, and completing site landscaping. Azul Containers noted that this model allows for moving in first and then gradually improving according to budget, whereas traditional construction requires waiting for the entire house to be completed before occupancy.

This delivery provides a reference for potential buyers: the site requires a level foundation (raft or grade beam), and if balconies are planned, the foundation should ideally be larger than the house; access must accommodate the truck and unloading operations; water, electricity, and drainage connections are the client's responsibility. Crane rental costs vary significantly by city, and the high prices in this area forced the team to use its own equipment for unloading. Azul Containers recommends that when budgeting for a finished home, buyers inquire about local costs for placing the house on the ground. The entire process, from contract signing to delivery and installation, takes only a few weeks, and the delivery day itself occupies just one morning.
