en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 100MW/400MWh grid-side independent energy storage project, constructed by Ruifan Century (Zaoyang) New Energy Development Co., Ltd., is progressing in an orderly manner. Once operational, the station will supplement grid peak-shaving capacity and expand the application space for green electricity.

At the construction site, two excavators are simultaneously leveling the land. The pouring of the foundation bases for the energy storage containers has been completed, and the overall site leveling work is in its final stage. In the research building construction area, workers are erecting scaffolding. The construction team and supervisors are conducting full-time on-site inspections, verifying details against the construction drawings. Construction team leader Minghai stated that the current focus is on land leveling and safety inspections, which are expected to be completed within two to three days. The next steps will involve the construction of the research building and the booster station, with the overall project expected to be completed by the end of the year.

This project is a core component of the Zaoyang Wind-Storage-Industry Integrated Project, with a total investment of approximately 350 million yuan. It adopts lithium iron phosphate technology and is equipped with an intelligent operation and management system. Upon completion, it will be connected as an independent energy storage station to the Hubei Power Dispatch Center for unified scheduling.

Project manager Ren Yanfei stated that after completion, the station will provide approximately 450 million kWh of green electricity annually to Zaoyang City. By peak shaving and valley filling through the energy storage station, the consumption ratio of new energy and the utilization ratio of green electricity can be improved. Additionally, the energy storage station can serve as an emergency power source to ensure urban supply and enhance the reliability of the city's power grid supply.
