en.Wedoany.com Reported - Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company (AGMK) has recently completed testing of 3D laser scanning technology to accelerate the digitalization of production processes and the application of modern surveying techniques.

During the test organized by the surveying department of the company's central office, experts used the 3D LiDAR scanner "FJD Trion S2" to scan a 200-meter-long underground mine roadway with complex terrain in just 15 minutes. Based on the acquired data, the team created a high-precision digital 3D model of the mining area and calculated the volume of extracted ore and rock.
This test vividly demonstrated the feasibility of rapidly digitizing underground objects, performing volume calculations, and completing mine surveying using modern technology. Experts from the central office surveying department, specialists from the Kauldy mine management company's surveying department, and technical experts from "INSTRUMART" all participated in the practical testing.
The test results showed that the equipment fully meets the technical requirements set by surveying experts. Practice has proven that adopting this technology can improve the efficiency of production processes, complete topographic and mine surveys with high precision under safe conditions, and accelerate the digital transformation of mining production.
