en.Wedoany.com Reported - Etihad Airways has adopted "13" as the flight number for its Abu Dhabi to Atlanta route, making this long-haul service the only one in the United States currently using that number as a flight code. Flight EY13 connects Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Georgia, USA. The route launched on July 2, 2025, and has been operating for just over a year. Etihad Airways emphasized at the launch that passengers can use U.S. preclearance facilities in Abu Dhabi, saving time and arriving as domestic passengers in the United States.

Flight EY13 is operated by an Airbus A350-1000. According to data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, the route increased from four weekly flights to daily service starting November 2025, with 31 flights scheduled for July 2026. EY13 is scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi at 9:20 AM, with a planned flight time of 15 hours and 10 minutes, arriving in Atlanta at 4:30 PM local time. The return flight, EY14, benefits from the transatlantic jet stream and has a shorter flight time, departing Atlanta at 9:30 PM and returning to Abu Dhabi at 7:20 PM the following day, with a flight time of 13 hours and 50 minutes. The A350-1000 features a two-class configuration with 371 seats, including 44 lie-flat seats in business class arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, and 327 seats in economy class arranged in a 3-3-3 layout. Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves stated that Atlanta holds deep cultural, economic, and aviation significance, and this new route enhances connectivity to the southeastern United States while providing connecting services via the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and Asia. The flight number EY13 is relatively rare, as airlines seldom use numbers like "13" or "666" when naming flight codes. The return flight from Atlanta to Abu Dhabi is designated as EY14.
