en.Wedoany.com Reported - Blueberry Aviation, a global aircraft trading company headquartered in Monaco, completed the return flight of the 10th and final aircraft on July 5, 2026, successfully concluding the recovery of Garuda Indonesia's ATR72-600 fleet. The project was commissioned by French and Italian export credit agencies.
Blueberry Aviation is an independent global aircraft trading company with a significant global presence in commercial aircraft remarketing, acquisition, and asset management, and is also one of the largest helicopter traders in the second-hand market. Founded in 2003, the company has offices in Monaco, Dublin, New York, Singapore, and Mumbai, with a professional team of 25 people. To date, it has completed over 190 commercial aircraft transactions and over 565 helicopter transactions.
This recovery project involved 10 ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft. Blueberry Aviation managed the entire recovery process comprehensively, including on-site physical and records inspections, fleet valuation, aircraft recovery from Indonesia, ferry flights to storage in France, insurance management, and the remarketing and redelivery of the entire fleet to new owners. The successful completion of this project further solidifies Blueberry Aviation's expertise in managing distressed aviation assets, particularly in the areas of airline restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, and asset recovery after prolonged aircraft grounding.

This recovery is the second major ATR fleet recovery project completed by Blueberry Aviation. In 2022, the company was commissioned by export credit agencies to successfully complete the remarketing of 11 ATR72-600 aircraft recovered from Avianca. The consecutive completion of these two fleet recovery projects further reinforces Blueberry Aviation's industry position in distressed asset management, covering assets from airlines undergoing restructuring or bankruptcy proceedings, as well as aircraft requiring recovery after prolonged grounding. As part of the subsequent remarketing efforts for this recovery project, Blueberry Aviation had previously delivered 4 of the 10 ATR72-600 aircraft to lessor ACIA Aero Leasing in July 2024.
The completion of this fleet recovery comes at a time when the global aviation industry is continuously adjusting its fleet structures during the post-pandemic recovery. For aviation assets facing restructuring or grounding challenges, the involvement of professional asset management companies helps maximize asset value recovery and reallocation. By successfully executing multiple large-scale fleet recovery projects, Blueberry Aviation demonstrates its professional service capabilities in complex aircraft transactions and asset disposition.
