en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's summer harvest has entered the final stage of large-scale mechanized harvesting, with summer grain procurement fully underway. The cumulative procurement of summer grain has exceeded 40 million tons. Grain reserve enterprises at all levels, as well as processing, trading, and feed companies, have actively entered the market, resulting in brisk trading activity. Luo Shouquan, Director of the Grain Reserve Department of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, stated that market-based procurement and policy-based storage will be coordinated to ensure smooth channels for farmers to sell grain and maintain market stability.

At the Xingang Depot of Sinograin in Xinzheng, Henan Province, large-scale grain farmer Yang Dehua's three grain trucks have completed their sales. The 516 mu of wheat he planted, along with the 3,000 mu under his management, achieved an average yield of 1,200 jin per mu. Last autumn, due to autumn flooding, wheat sowing in many areas of Henan Province was delayed by 15 to 40 days, leading to lower yield expectations. Over the following 190-plus days, agricultural technology, farmland, machinery, meteorological services, scheduling, and social service organizations worked together to make up for the lost farming time caused by the delayed sowing.

The grain sales process has become convenient and efficient. The price for first-grade wheat from Sinograin is 1.23 yuan per jin, and the entire process—from sampling and inspection, weighing, unloading, to settlement—is completed within two hours. Guo Mingwei, General Manager of the Xingang Depot, introduced that this summer's harvest employs "door-to-door" and "mobile" pre-inspection services for rapid testing and screening, informing farmers of quality results in advance and guiding them to sell grain by category, thereby reducing return costs. The depot's personnel, funds, and facilities are all prepared to meet the summer procurement tasks, ensuring "people waiting for grain, money waiting for grain."

Technological grain storage methods have been applied. The granaries at Sinograin's Xingang Depot are equipped with specialized air conditioning and circulation temperature control systems to inhibit pest breeding during summer. At Sinograin's Qingdao Depot, a large central control screen displays a 3D model of the warehouse, showing monitoring nodes embedded within the grain piles. Temperature data from each node can be accessed in real time, and the system automatically issues alerts in case of anomalies. A relevant official explained that the "technical prevention and control" system integrates data on grain conditions, security, and operations, enabling visual queries on grain quantity, quality, status, and potential safety hazards.

Processing efficiency has improved. Wudeli Qingdao Flour Co., Ltd. procures approximately 7,000 tons of wheat daily and produces 4,000 tons of flour per day. General Manager Ruan Hongxian noted that wheat procurement follows the principle of "high quality, high price," with Sinograin's rotationally sold wheat offering stable quality and fast loading, making it a reliable supply source. In the workshop, wheat undergoes testing for test weight, moisture content, and damaged kernels before being sent to storage bins, then transported via pipelines for grinding, sieving, and packaging, achieving a fully continuous operation process.

The "15th Five-Year Plan for Accelerating Agricultural and Rural Modernization" issued by the State Council proposes shifting agriculture from a yield-oriented focus to one that equally emphasizes yield and quality, increasing the supply of high-quality flavorful rice, strong-gluten and weak-gluten specialty wheat, and high-yield, high-oil soybeans. At a press conference on agricultural and rural economic performance in the first quarter, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Mardan Mukeit stated that leading enterprises and "chain leader" enterprises will be cultivated to collaboratively advance primary processing, deep processing, and comprehensive utilization of by-products, extending the industrial chain, enhancing the value chain, and fully leveraging the "grain head, food tail," "livestock head, meat tail," and "agriculture head, industry tail" approaches to improve the efficiency of the entire industrial chain.
