en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Nantong COSCO Shipping Logistics, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Logistics Supply Chain (East China) Regional Company, completed a heavy-lift equipment river-sea transshipment operation at Haimen Dongzaogang Port Terminal. Two large truck cranes worked in coordination to smoothly unload equipment module sections from an inland river barge onto the dock's receiving truck flatbeds. All water-to-land transfer stages of the project have been completed, with the cargo in place awaiting loading onto an ocean-going vessel.

The transported equipment modules originated from a factory near the Yangtze River inland terminal, were shipped via inland barge directly to the coastal berth at Dongzaogang Port. Given the large size of the heavy-lift module sections, high risk of center-of-gravity shift, and stringent requirements for lifting alignment accuracy, the Nantong COSCO Shipping Logistics project team conducted a pre-operation site survey of the terminal workspace, calculated barge draft depth and crane boom working radius, and after multiple rounds of operational sequence simulations and emergency response planning, finalized a specialized implementation plan for coordinated lifting using two truck cranes.

Before the operation, the team coordinated with the terminal operator, barge crew, and lifting team to finalize connection points and safety control standards for each stage, locking in the optimal operational window. During the operation, the two large truck cranes simultaneously hoisted and lowered at a uniform speed according to preset parameters. On-site supervisors monitored sling tension and equipment posture throughout, precisely controlling the unloading rhythm to achieve seamless integration of unloading, receiving, and barge maneuvering, ensuring an efficient and stable handling process.
