en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nora Wahby, President of Ericsson Indonesia, stated that Ericsson has prepared a range of latest 5G technologies for Indonesia to support the country's upcoming era of fifth-generation mobile communication networks (5G).

The 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands, which are key spectrum resources for 5G networks, have been auctioned in Indonesia, creating conditions for 5G network deployment.
Nora Wahby said that Ericsson will leverage its global deployment experience and adapt it to local needs to help Indonesia achieve balanced 5G network deployment. She noted that the 5G network provided by Ericsson is not only about delivering higher speeds but also about building a more responsive, reliable, and efficient network to support future digital demands.
One of the technologies Ericsson plans to promote is AI-based network capabilities, including AI-enabled Radio Access Network (AI-RAN), which helps operators optimize network performance, improve efficiency, and manage increasingly complex traffic growth. As AI usage increases, interactive activities and user-generated content drive higher uplink traffic demands, making this technology increasingly important.
Additionally, Ericsson sees potential in differentiated connectivity, which enables operators to tailor service quality based on user or specific industry needs. Meanwhile, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) is considered an effective solution for expanding broadband access in areas where fiber infrastructure still faces challenges.
Nora Wahby concluded that, overall, these technologies make 5G not just a means of connectivity but a digital foundation that supports innovation across various fields and accelerates Indonesia's digital transformation.
