en.Wedoany.com Reported - ABB Robotics has launched the new Flexley Stack F712 autonomous mobile robot (AMR), applying AI-driven Visual SLAM technology to autonomous forklifts for pallet handling and high-density storage operations.

This product completes ABB Robotics' interoperable ecosystem built across major Visual SLAM AMR types. By integrating autonomous forklifts, tuggers, and mobile platforms on a unified platform, customers can automate a wider range of material handling and internal logistics processes. The F712 achieves positioning accuracy of ±10 mm and is designed for demanding material handling, end-of-line storage, and warehouse operations in industries such as automotive manufacturing.

Marc Segura, President of ABB Robotics, stated that in internal logistics operations, companies are required to handle larger volumes in shorter timeframes while resources are increasingly constrained, with labor availability becoming a critical limiting factor. The F712 integrates advanced vision, mobility, and intelligence, completing the company's scalable AI-driven AMR product line.

The equipment can handle various load types, including open and closed pallets, containers, or racks, with a maximum load capacity of 2,000 kg and a lifting height of up to 8.5 meters. The F712 uses Visual SLAM for environmental mapping and navigation, eliminating the need for pre-installed markers or reflectors as infrastructure. Combined with AMR Studio, it can reduce commissioning time by up to 20% and instantly adapt to changes in warehouse or production floor layouts. The forklift complies with the latest ISO and ANSI safety standards and can operate at speeds of up to 1.7 m/s when fully loaded.

The F712 is fully integrated with AMR Studio and compatible with the VDA5050 standard, enabling collaborative operation with ABB Robotics' Visual SLAM AMRs and existing systems. This no-code, drag-and-drop software suite supports rapid setup, fleet coordination, traffic management, and real-time visualization, allowing tuggers, mobile platforms, and forklifts to work together in the same layout for scalable turnkey automation projects.
