en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian mining company Luca Mining has discovered high-grade mineralization extensions during exploration drilling at the Tahuehueto gold-silver mine in Mexico, confirming that mineralization extends below the 20 level, with some results exceeding management expectations. The company identified a previously unknown extension of a breccia-hosted vein system.

Paul Gray, Vice President of Exploration, stated that management's interpretation of mineralization extending below the 20 level has been validated, with the first five drill holes successfully intersecting the down-dip extension of the Creston vein. Encouraged by this, an additional nine drill holes were added, all successfully penetrating the structure. Drill hole DDH26-246 returned 3.61 g/t gold equivalent over 22 meters, including 6.73 g/t over 4.7 meters. Drill hole DDH26-245 returned 6.9 g/t gold equivalent over 2.8 meters, including 18.05 g/t over 0.9 meters. Drill hole DDH26-242 returned 3.05 g/t gold equivalent over 5.1 meters.

Additionally, drill hole DDH26-240 returned 2.98 g/t gold equivalent over 3.7 meters in the El Rey vein, with the intercept located approximately 40 meters below the previous deepest intersection. In terms of drilling activities, the company completed 54 underground drill holes (totaling 10,426 meters) and 25 surface drill holes (totaling 4,599 meters) at the Creston, Perdido, El Rey, and Santiago targets. Two drill holes failed to intersect the mineralized structure, which the company attributes to previously identified vein dilation steps.

Tahuehueto consists of a large epithermal gold-silver vein system, with known veins extending approximately 11 kilometers. The current mineral resource model includes only about 4.50 kilometers of veins, while the company has identified over 11 kilometers of potential structures. This drilling campaign marks the first systematic exploration at the Tahuehueto property in over 12 years. A follow-up drilling program aimed at delineating priority targets is being designed and is expected to be implemented before the end of the year.

Luca Mining is a diversified Canadian mining company with two 100%-owned operating mines in Mexico: the Tahuehueto gold-silver mine in Durango and the Campo Morado zinc-copper-gold-silver mine in Guerrero.
