en.Wedoany.com Reported - Axalta Coating Systems will showcase its latest commercial vehicle coating technologies at the India Multi-Modal Passenger Summit Prawaas 5.0, with a focus on low-temperature curing, waterborne, and heat-reflective coating series for electric buses. The summit will be held from July 9 to 11, 2026, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The company, which claims to be a leading coating supplier in the Indian bus sector, plans to use this event to engage with bus manufacturers, body builders, fleet operators, and policymakers to discuss trends shaping the future of public transportation.
In terms of lightweighting and energy efficiency, the company will highlight low-temperature curing coatings, specifically developed for compatibility with fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) substrates widely used in modern bus manufacturing. These solutions support vehicle lightweighting, helping to improve fuel efficiency, and also reduce energy consumption during the painting process, lowering process requirements while maintaining production efficiency and coating quality.
Axalta will also showcase waterborne coatings, which help reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and support environmental compliance goals in manufacturing operations. Another focus is heat-reflective coatings designed specifically for electric buses, which can reduce the internal heat load of the vehicle, helping to improve energy efficiency and potentially extend vehicle range.
Regarding the transition to electric mobility, the company will present a broader portfolio of electric bus solutions extending beyond exterior body coatings. Products include motor insulation technologies such as magnet wire enamels, impregnating resins, and electrical steel coatings, as well as battery assembly materials. Through this portfolio, Axalta aims to position itself as a technology partner supporting multiple aspects of electric bus manufacturing.
Dr. Prameela Susarla, Vice President and Managing Director of Axalta India, stated that the company has always focused on helping commercial vehicle manufacturers improve durability, production efficiency, and total cost of ownership through advanced coating technologies. She noted that the company is committed to supporting the evolving needs of shared mobility and India's overall transition to cleaner transportation systems.
