The agreement aims to jointly conduct applied research in artificial intelligence, analytics, and emerging technologies. The collaboration will advance capacity building, research, development, and innovation projects, intersecting with strategic areas such as user experience, digital security, computing, management, marketing, smart cities, and earth sciences, thereby strengthening ties between academia and the financial sector.

This initiative seeks to accelerate the practical application of scientific research and will carry out studies on topics of interest to Banco do Brasil, the financial market, and society. The collaboration will include joint participation of teams from both institutions in capacity building, research, and development activities.

Banco do Brasil recently launched a new edition of AcademIA BB, an internal corporate program for artificial intelligence and data capacity building aimed at all bank and group employees. This edition focuses on generative AI and agentic AI, with over 36,000 registrations, covering participants from all business areas of the bank.
