Relimpp leads in bidding for decommissioning Petrobras FPSO

The tender involves contracting engineering services, preparation and removal of the hull and topsides, and final disposal (EPRD) for this platform in the Marlim complex of the Campos basin. Petrobras is considering the possibility of using the hull for offshore revitalization projects.

Relimpp claims to be one of the largest catalyst handling and replacement companies in Brazil, serving the oil, chemical, petrochemical, steel, metallurgy, fertilizer, and cement industries. Gávea Logística has operated in the state of Rio de Janeiro for over a decade, providing port operations and projects, maritime operations, warehousing, and multimodal transport (OTM) solutions. Porto do Açu provides port services to major oil companies operating in Brazil, including Petrobras, and has historically been involved in mooring and service contracts for the P-33 platform. Ocyan is a traditional FPSO operator in Brazil with experience in offshore decommissioning projects. BNG Metalmecânica, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Serra, Espírito Santo, specializes in manufacturing, assembly, and provision of industrial services, including machining of parts and components and on-site machining. IFM claims to be Brazil's first commissioning company, having participated in the country's major oil and gas projects; in 2024, the company submitted a bid in the leasing tender for the Sergipe-Águas Profundas FPSO, but Petrobras disqualified its proposal.
