en.Wedoany.com Reported - Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Cloud Rebuild, allowing users to install a full version of Windows directly from the cloud, even when the PC is damaged or system files are missing, without relying on separate installation media.
This feature is designed to operate even when Windows fails to boot entirely. The installation image includes everything from the latest compatible Windows version to device-specific drivers, eliminating the need for users to download drivers separately from the PC manufacturer. Compared to existing reset tools, Cloud Rebuild provides a more comprehensive solution when local Windows files are corrupted or missing, causing recovery failures, and removes the need for users to configure bootable USB installers or handle ISO files.

Cloud Rebuild is currently available as part of the Windows 11 Insider Preview, and Microsoft plans to expand its coverage after testing. The company stated that remote initiation via enterprise endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune will be introduced in subsequent versions. As a preview product, some features, user interface elements, and command-line options may be adjusted before the official release.
This feature makes Windows recovery mode somewhat similar to Apple's macOS Internet Recovery experience, which has been available since 2011, although the two operating systems operate differently—Apple's control over hardware and software establishes a completely different driver environment. Microsoft has not provided a timeline for the full release of Cloud Rebuild.
