en.Wedoany.com Reported - Just three weeks into production of the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, it already accounts for 34.9% of total C8 model output. According to production data shared by the C8 Corvette Owners Group on Facebook, Chevrolet began manufacturing the 2027 Corvette on June 8, with a relatively short cumulative production window due to a summer routine shutdown at the Bowling Green plant.

Corvette Blogger reports that 1,689 units of the 2027 Corvette rolled off the assembly line in three weeks, including 590 units of the new Grand Sport. The Stingray had the highest production volume at 719 units, accounting for 42.5%, while the Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X produced 241, 91, and 48 units respectively. Chevrolet has not yet begun production of the Corvette Grand Sport X, which replaces the all-wheel-drive E-Ray hybrid model.

The new Corvette Grand Sport is powered by General Motors' 6.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, featuring the same wide-body design as the Z06 and the previous E-Ray, with a starting price of $86,000 in the U.S. The 2027 Stingray starts at $73,495. Both models share the same engine, delivering 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft (705 Nm) of torque. While the Stingray saves over $12,000, the Grand Sport's wide-body styling and stable stance have attracted a group of buyers.

Customer deliveries of the first 2027 Corvette models are reportedly expected to begin as early as this week.
