en.Wedoany.com Reported - Swedish SKF has expanded its AEM bearing series, targeting global vibration and noise regulations, increasing the product line by 40% to provide high-efficiency, low-noise solutions specifically for electric motors and industrial machinery. This strategy aims to enhance market share and economic competitiveness while covering specific applications such as electric motors and agricultural implements, maintaining high technical standards.
The newly launched deep groove ball bearings range in size from 10 to 95 mm, available with various metal dust shields, rubber seals, and different internal clearance grades. Product development directly responds to new environmental and energy efficiency requirements, including international standard IEC 60034 and Chinese standard GB/T 32325-2015.
According to the manufacturer's technical documentation, the optimized design reduces friction losses and starting torque, making it easier for equipment manufacturers to meet minimum energy efficiency standards.
The AEM series uses a different grade of steel compared to the Explorer series, but SKF employs high-purity materials, maintaining fatigue strength at levels equivalent to bearings from major global competitors. This high-performance steel, combined with improved internal geometry and optimized raceway surface finish, directly impacts lubricant life. In sealed applications, bearing life often depends on grease degradation rather than metal fatigue, so the lower heat generated by low-noise operation can extend maintenance-free operating time.
SKF Brazil CEO Alex Pereira stated that the expansion of the AEM series reinforces the company's commitment to addressing global regulatory challenges, offering a high-efficiency, low-noise solution that combines the brand's technical advantages with the cost competitiveness required by the modern industrial market.
SKF Executive Expert Cláudio Grossi noted that lower vibration and noise levels mean less friction, which will directly affect the life of the grease inside the bearing, resulting in longer grease life under better noise and vibration control conditions. This component is particularly suitable for industrial electric motors, geared motors, and textile machinery in the power range of 2 to 375 kW.
The company builds its operations around efficiency and reliability, supported by optimized production processes and an availability-oriented logistics system. In the Brazilian market, logistics rely on inventory assurance from the new distribution center in Garuva, Santa Catarina. SKF emphasizes that all its factories adhere to a unified quality management standard, ensuring consistency in low friction and long life performance, regardless of the production location.
