Ukraine Approves New Solar Feed-in Tariffs: 6.13 for Residential, 5.49 for Small Businesses
en.Wedoany.com Reported - The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) of Ukraine has approved new feed-in tariffs (FiT) for solar installations owned by households, small businesses, and energy cooperatives. The new tariffs took effect earlier this month and will remain valid until December 31, 2029.

Ukraine refers to this feed-in tariff as the green tariff, a guaranteed payment from the state to households and businesses for purchasing surplus electricity generated by their renewable energy installations. For residential solar installations with a capacity not exceeding 30 kW, the new tariff is set at 6.13 Ukrainian hryvnias per kWh (approximately USD 0.14), down from the previous 6.79 Ukrainian hryvnias per kWh. For small businesses and energy cooperatives with installations up to 150 kW, the new feed-in tariff is set at 5.49 Ukrainian hryvnias per kWh, compared to the previous 6.32 Ukrainian hryvnias per kWh.
To qualify for the green tariff, installations by small businesses and cooperatives must be located on rooftops or building facades. Households are not subject to this restriction and are permitted to install ground-mounted systems. Owners of previously commissioned installations will retain their original tariffs, and the list of previously approved tariffs is available on the NEURC website.
In November last year, Ukraine amended its loan program for households installing hybrid renewable energy systems, switching to a one-time repayment of 30% of the principal debt. In March this year, Ukraine announced a series of amendments to legislative acts related to the energy market, including prioritizing photovoltaic plus energy storage systems in future renewable energy auctions. Ukraine deployed approximately 1.5 GW of solar energy in 2025, bringing its cumulative installed photovoltaic capacity to over 8.5 GW.
