en.Wedoany.com Reported - MG UK will showcase two electric concept cars at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of which previews the MG2 model set to launch in 2027. This model is positioned as an affordable electric hatchback, competing with the Renault 5 and Mini Cooper E.
Named the MG Go!, this concept is a compact electric hatchback inspired by the MGB GT, the MG 6R4 Group B rally car, and the 2000s ZR model. MG states that the goal is not to replicate history but to draw inspiration from it to create a modern vehicle with emotional appeal. The grille outline, headlight configuration forming the front fascia, and C-pillar design clearly pay homage to the MGB GT, while the pronounced wheel arches subtly echo the 6R4.

The second concept car unveiled is the Cyber Concept, positioned as a large electric performance SUV flagship, contrasting sharply with the Go!'s focus on young, cost-conscious consumers.

The Cyber Concept draws partial design inspiration from MG's record-breaking EX181 streamlined race car from the late 1950s. Its body lines are sleek and muscular, with a silhouette reminiscent of the Ferrari Purosangue, while the taillights may look familiar to owners of the Hyundai Tucson.
An MG spokesperson told Autocar that the Go! concept is planned for production within two years, while the Cyber concept is far from production, currently lacking even an interior; even if it eventually reaches the market, it may not be sold in the UK.
