en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Chemical Engineering Chengda Company and Hong Kong Liwan Group's Ningbo Liwan New Materials Company signed an EPC general contracting agreement for the construction of a low-temperature ethane membrane tank and ancillary facilities project, launching China's first and the world's largest single-tank land-based membrane ethane storage tank project.

Located in the Xiebei Chemical Industrial Park of Ningbo Daxie Development Zone, the project plans to build one 200,000 cubic meter low-temperature ethane membrane tank and supporting process facilities. Upon completion, it will achieve the first engineering application of large-scale liquefied hydrocarbon low-temperature membrane storage tank design and construction in China, promoting the expansion of membrane tank technology from traditional LNG storage and transportation to the storage and transportation of multiple liquefied hydrocarbon categories such as ethylene, ethane, and LPG, thereby advancing technological upgrades in China's low-temperature storage and transportation sector.
