en.Wedoany.com Reported - Omnia Training has been awarded a £2 billion contract by the UK Ministry of Defence to serve as the British Army's strategic training partner and deliver the Army's Collective Training Service (ACTS).

The consortium, led by Raytheon UK and including partners Capita, Cervus, Rheinmetall UK, and Skyral, will be responsible for delivering the project. This 15-year contract will provide soldiers with an integrated digital collective training system, transforming how they train, prepare, and adapt to future missions. Raytheon is a subsidiary of RTX (NYSE: RTX).

The system upgrades traditional live exercises by combining virtual, synthetic, and data-driven environments, enabling soldiers to train anytime, anywhere to better adapt to the complexities of modern warfare. The Omnia team will enhance operational readiness and transform the British Army's training approach by leveraging greater use of synthetic technology, advanced analytics, and a next-generation training platform that integrates these environments. This contract award is expected to create 270 jobs and sustain an additional 150 positions.

"We established Omnia Training three years ago to deliver cutting-edge training systems that help the British Army effectively prepare for operations," said James Gray, Managing Director and CEO of Raytheon UK. "A team of innovators, engineers, and experts based in the UK will bring a new level of training realism to soldiers and commanders, setting an example for effective collaboration between the Army and industry."

Omnia Training brings together five organizations with proven track records in multi-domain training and defense innovation. The entire team comprises over 1,500 personnel in the defense training sector, and the partners have worked together as a co-located integrated team for more than two years in preparing for this contract, driving a unified vision for training transformation in the UK and beyond. Raytheon UK, with over 2,000 employees, is a major supplier and systems integrator for the UK Ministry of Defence, designing, developing, and manufacturing defense and space technologies, and is a leading provider of training transformation services. RTX, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, employs over 180,000 people globally and reported sales exceeding $88 billion in 2025.
