India's Akasa Air Receives 40th Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Akasa Air received its 40th aircraft on July 3, 2026, a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 with registration number VT-YBQ, which arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru that day. The delivery flight was conducted in segments, starting from Seattle, USA, to Reykjavik, Iceland, then via Cairo, Egypt, before finally arriving in Bengaluru, India.

The aircraft is equipped with Safran Z200 seats, part of the next-generation seating solution. The seats feature a four-inch recline angle, ergonomically curved backrests, and enhanced padding, along with convenience amenities such as USB-C and USB-A ports.

Akasa Air has confirmed orders for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 186 more to be delivered over the next six years. The airline is expected to rank among the top 30 global airlines by 2030.
