en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Korea Commercial Artificial Intelligence Software Association recently officially launched the Republic of Korea's commercial AI·SW information portal "KONAVI (코나비)", enabling procurement officials from public institutions and local governments, as well as private enterprises, to search for domestic commercial AI·SW and Software as a Service (SaaS) and verify actual implementation cases.

The association noted that the difficulty in finding information on domestic commercial software during public software procurement is a pain point. Procurement parties often reuse existing Request for Proposals (RFPs), leading to repeated reviews of overseas products even when viable domestic alternatives exist. To address this, KONAVI not only provides product specifications but also focuses on offering information on actual implementation cases and introduction effects. Users can view implementation cases across industries such as public, finance, manufacturing, and healthcare, while also accessing procurement information like GS certification and digital service marketplace registration status.

Procurement parties can compare similar project cases on the platform to evaluate suitable alternatives; supply companies can directly register implementation achievements and provide the latest information. The association will also promote cooperation with the Public Software Procurement Support Center of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) to connect executed public institution procurement consultations with KONAVI's commercial software database and implementation cases, supporting procurement parties' product evaluations.

Unlike the existing procurement agency's digital service marketplace or digital service registration system, KONAVI prioritizes implementation cases. The platform currently provides information on all registered digital service marketplace products and SaaS, designed not only to display simple registration details but also to continuously accumulate actual implementation cases for product selection. The association also plans to upgrade the AI chatbot function in the future, aiming to recommend suitable domestic software and guide users to relevant implementation cases after they input required functions or construction purposes.

The construction of the KONAVI portal took approximately six months, during which the association refined functions through multiple rounds of feedback with member companies. The architecture allowing companies to directly register and manage product information and implementation cases is also a key feature for keeping information up to date. The association aims to support the implementation of the mandatory direct purchase system for commercial software through KONAVI, while expanding opportunities for domestic software companies to enter the public market.

Yoon Ho-eo (어윤호), Chairman of the Korea Commercial Artificial Intelligence Software Association, stated: "The KONAVI portal is a win-win platform, providing public procurement officials and private users with a trustworthy space to explore solutions, and offering effective market expansion opportunities for outstanding domestic software companies. Going forward, through diversified cooperation with public-related organizations such as NIPA, we will actively support the advancement of national AI·SW policies and strive to elevate the domestic software industry ecosystem to a global level."
