en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aerial work platform manufacturer Genie has recently introduced a new telescopic handler, the GTH-1544, to the North American market. This model has a rated capacity of 6,800 kg (15,000 lbs) and a maximum lift height of 13.6 meters (44 feet 7 inches). It is a pick-and-carry model designed for efficient material handling on large construction, infrastructure, industrial, and energy sites.

Unlike traditional "pick-and-place" telehandlers that require frequent outrigger setup for repetitive vertical lifting, the GTH-1544, as a "pick-and-carry" model, emphasizes mobility. It can quickly and continuously transport heavy materials from the unloading area to the work zone across large job sites without needing outriggers. Kyle Holdridge, Global Product Director for Telescopic Handlers at Genie, stated that this new model aims to help rental companies better match equipment to job conditions, with acquisition and maintenance costs potentially reduced by up to 15% compared to similar products.

The GTH-1544 is the highest-capacity model in Genie's 44-foot (13.6-meter) lift height telehandler series, completing the product line. This series also includes the GTH-1044 (4.5-ton class) and GTH-1244 (5.4-ton class). The GTH-1544 is designed for high-volume material handling at lower lift heights, suitable for scenarios requiring efficient long-distance transport of heavy materials within a job site. At its maximum lift height of 13.6 meters, the model can carry 4,500 kg.

In terms of technical configuration, the equipment is powered by a Deutz diesel engine, paired with a ZF powershift transmission and an upgraded Dana axle. Compared to high-horsepower hydrostatic systems, its powershift transmission is less prone to overheating during long-distance travel on large job sites. The equipment is also equipped with foam-filled Enduro A/T tires to enhance durability. Additionally, approximately 80% of the components are shared with Genie's GTH 10k and 12k series telehandlers, significantly simplifying maintenance and reducing parts inventory.

Headquartered in Washington State, USA, Genie is a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic handlers, with products widely used in construction, industry, entertainment, and other fields. As a brand under the Terex Group, Genie is known for the completeness of its product line and equipment reliability. The launch of the GTH-1544 completes Genie's pick-and-carry telehandler lineup, providing rental companies and end users with a professional solution for large, material-intensive job sites.
