en.Wedoany.com Reported - The first EJM600/4-2 high-power bolter miner, independently developed by China's Jizhong Energy Equipment Group Shimei Company, recently rolled off the production line. With a cutting power of 600 kW, this equipment breaks through the industry's common bottleneck of 560 kW and can be used for stable excavation in medium-to-large cross-section semi-coal rock roadways.

Shimei Company is a specialized R&D and manufacturing enterprise in China's coal mining machinery sector, boasting eight provincial-level and above scientific innovation platforms, including the National Energy Coal Mining Machinery Equipment R&D (Experimental) Center and the Hebei Province Coal Mining Machinery Engineering Technology Innovation Center. To address the issues of low efficiency and insufficient safety in rapid excavation of large cross-section coal roadways in Chinese coal mines, the company increased the cutting power to 600 kW based on the successful development of 315 kW and 340 kW bolter miners, further refining its high-end rapid excavation equipment portfolio.

The development of this model faced a series of challenges: maintaining a compact overall structure while significantly increasing cutting power; enhancing rock-breaking capability while addressing issues such as machine vibration and excessive pick wear caused by high-power cutting; and improving the heat dissipation capacity of the hydraulic system and the overall structural reliability. The R&D team utilized actual operational data from underground coal mines, employing three-dimensional verification, simulation, and computational analysis to achieve optimized design. Combined with factory testing, they effectively overcame a series of engineering challenges.

This bolter miner integrates cutting, loading, transportation, bolting, tramming, dust removal, and advanced detection into a highly compact system. It is suitable for medium-to-large cross-section semi-coal rock roadway construction in mining areas such as Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, and Shanxi, enhancing roadway excavation efficiency and underground operational safety.

Currently, the first unit has passed coal mine safety certification and is about to undergo industrial trials in a large state-owned coal mine, officially entering underground operations. This creates conditions for its large-scale promotion and industrial development.
