en.Wedoany.com Reported - Solis Minerals Ltd (ASX:SLM, TSX-V:SLMN, OTCQB:SLMFF) has commenced diamond drilling at the Mandacaru Lithium Project in Brazil, targeting a continuous lithium-cesium-tantalum pegmatite system along a corridor approximately 800 meters long.
The drilling program comprises 10 holes for a total of 2,000 meters, designed to test the continuity and geometry of the pegmatite and its potential for spodumene mineralization at depth. Solis holds 100% ownership of the Mandacaru project, located in the Araçuaí Lithium Valley in Minas Gerais, a major lithium district with established producers and multiple advanced development projects.

Drilling will focus on areas where lithium, cesium, tantalum, and beryllium geochemical anomalies overlap with mapped pegmatite outcrops and historical auger drill results. Solis stated that cesium is a key indicator element, with elevated values potentially pointing to advanced magmatic differentiation, a common feature of spodumene-bearing pegmatite systems. The company has designed two drilling "fences" to cover the interpreted pegmatite strike, with individual holes expected to reach depths of approximately 200 meters. Drill hole locations were selected through geological mapping, soil and rock chip geochemistry, auger drilling, structural interpretation, and high-resolution drone imagery.
Prior to the start of drilling, Solis completed the transaction documentation and consideration payments for its Brazilian lithium projects, marking a rapid progression from acquisition to drill testing. CEO Mitch Thomas stated that the geological characteristics of Mandacaru are similar to the Colina Lithium Project, located approximately 100 km to the southwest, which was discovered by members of the management team currently leading the company.
In addition to its Brazilian lithium projects, Solis is also preparing to resume copper exploration in Peru. The company fully owns the drill-ready Cinto Copper Project and can earn up to a 100% interest in the Cucho Copper Project. Both projects exhibit surface copper mineralization and indications of potential large-scale porphyry systems, with all government approvals already obtained.
Solis plans to complete the 10-hole drilling program at Mandacaru while providing updates based on drilling progress and geological information. The board has also approved a 2,500-meter diamond drilling program at the Cinto project, scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026, which will proceed in parallel with the Brazilian program. Further updates on progress at Cinto and Cucho are expected to be released during the quarter.
