en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 12, 2026, United Airlines will expand its global destination count to 375 in the third quarter of 2026 (July to September), an increase of 12 from 363 in the same period last year. As a member of the Star Alliance, United serves more airports than any other airline worldwide. The carrier has added 17 new airports to its network, while also removing five destinations during the same period. Data is sourced from United's flight schedules submitted to Cirium Diio.

On the international front, United has added Tepic, Mexico; Bari, Italy; Santiago de Compostela, Spain; Split, Croatia; Bangkok, Thailand; Glasgow, United Kingdom; and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City. United is the first North American airline to operate long-haul routes to Bari, Santiago de Compostela, and Split. With Neos having discontinued flights from Bari to New York JFK, United is now the sole carrier operating long-haul services to these three European destinations. According to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) data, Bangkok, Glasgow, and Ho Chi Minh City are resumed routes for United. The Bangkok route previously operated daily via Tokyo Narita using Boeing 747-400s, and occasionally 777-200ERs, until 2014; the Glasgow route used 757-200ERs until 2019; and the Ho Chi Minh City route operated daily via Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) with 747-400s (later 777-200ERs) until 2016.

Domestically, United has added 10 cities, including Lancaster, Lynchburg, Montgomery, Natchez, and Roswell. Among these, five cities such as Natchez are entirely new destinations for United, with Natchez Airport welcoming its first scheduled commercial flights in over 30 years. These new routes are all operated by United Express, with all but two using 50-seat CRJ200 regional jets operated by SkyWest.
In route adjustments, United has discontinued service to five destinations. The route to Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) in Dakar ended in January 2026; this was a new route for United, operating from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Dakar (DSS) since May 2025. DOT data shows the route carried 21,949 passengers with a load factor of just 55.8%, ranking as the second worst-performing long-haul market for United. Additionally, Dominica has shifted from year-round to winter seasonal operations, resuming in October; Dubai service is scheduled to resume in October 2026 due to the Iran war; and services to Havana and Stockholm Arlanda Airport ended in September 2025.
