en.Wedoany.com Reported - After a comprehensive review, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu cleared long-pending land allocation issues for a batch of public infrastructure projects. This approval aims to strengthen inter-departmental coordination and accelerate project implementation in areas such as transportation, policing, health, education, and urban services.

Key land allocations approved include 20 hectares in Sanoth for a Delhi Metro depot and 16 hectares in Narela for a metro casting yard to support future expansion. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has been allocated land at eight locations for sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations, along with approval for 151 borewells to enhance the city's water supply. Additionally, land was allocated for a sewage treatment plant in Jaunti and for underground water storage tanks in Sangam Vihar.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) received 24 plots for constructing Fixed Compactor Transfer Stations to improve waste collection, and 8.5 hectares of land were allocated in Holambi Kalan for an e-waste eco-management park. In Ghazipur, 10 acres of land have been handed over to the MCD, and an additional 10.4 acres were approved for expanding waste-to-energy and bio-methanation facilities. For policing infrastructure, plans include constructing four new police stations in Dilkusha Bagh, Sagarpur, Suyurpur, and Kishangarh, along with a new forensic science laboratory in Narela.
Land has been earmarked for Intelligence Bureau (IB) sites in Dheerpur and Tahirpur, as well as for judicial staff housing in Rohini and Shahdara. In the health sector, officials issued 112 No Objection Certificates for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and 5 for Atal Canteens, and approved community halls for Sub-Registrar offices. In education, land will be provided at the education center in Narela for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi Technological University (DTU), and Central Sanskrit University (CSU), along with plots for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and government schools. These approved proposals are expected to accelerate the implementation of projects that had been stalled due to land issues.
