en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 14, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding delivered the 158,000-ton Suezmax crude oil tanker "CAPE ARMATHIA" to Greece's Cape Shipping. Designed and built independently by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, this vessel is the second of its type constructed for the shipowner.

During the construction of "CAPE ARMATHIA," Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding optimized the process flow, achieving improved construction efficiency while ensuring quality. This vessel is the first of its type to complete painting work for five ballast tanks and three large fuel oil tanks in the dry dock. The efficiency of all preparatory stages was continuously enhanced, and the preparation cycle from undocking to sea trials reached an industry-leading level.

On the same day, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding began construction of a 114,000-ton Aframax product tanker for Greece's Oceangold. This marks the fourth vessel of the same type built for the company, following the delivery of "KINAROS" six months ago, and reflects the shipowner's high recognition of the product quality. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding stated that it will summarize the construction experience from previous vessels, advance the "three cancellations and four zeroing" initiatives, and ensure high-quality delivery of the project.
