en.Wedoany.com Reported - Gainey's Concrete has introduced a pile cap solution developed by Gillen Design Systems, a Louisiana-based underground infrastructure specialist, as an alternative to traditional cast-in-place concrete construction methods. The Gillen RapidCap is specifically designed for deep foundations where multiple concrete piles are combined to support heavy structural loads. By evenly distributing weight across the entire pile group, it creates a larger, more stable foundation for critical infrastructure built on poor soil conditions. Gainey's Concrete and Gillen Design offer the RapidCap with stamped calculations and engineering drawings to support project approval and implementation.

The Gillen RapidCap offers an alternative to traditional construction methods, with components precast in a controlled environment and then delivered to the job site for installation within a single day. The precast design eliminates the need for extensive on-site formwork, concrete pouring, and curing, allowing projects to move to the next construction phase more quickly. Potential applications include chemical plants, LNG facilities, power stations, substations, telecommunications facilities, bridge and viaduct construction, marine or port structures, and transportation infrastructure.
Christopher Ballard, Director of Business Development at Gainey's, stated that the Gillen RapidCap is an example of how collaboration and innovation can address long-standing construction challenges. The company partnered with Gillen Design to manufacture a product that enhances job site safety, reduces project timelines, and provides contractors with a more efficient construction tool.
