en.Wedoany.com Reported - The desalination station project of the High-End Polyolefin New Materials Project of Blue Ocean New Materials (Tongzhou Bay) Co., Ltd. has recently been mechanically completed, marking the project's full entry into the commissioning preparation phase.

This project is a key benchmark project for PetroChina's green and low-carbon transformation and refining and chemical industry upgrade. It is also a core project of Jiangsu Province's strategic emerging industries, featuring high construction standards and significant industry demonstration value. The project is under the general contracting design of China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corporation Beijing Company, which implements top-tier industry standards for the delivery quality, operational stability, and energy-saving and environmental performance of the supporting water treatment system. It sets high standards for engineering construction, progress control, and commissioning.

The total investment in the first phase of the project is approximately 10.1 billion yuan. The main construction scope includes one 200,000 tons/year FDPE unit (solution-phase octene copolymerization), one 100,000 tons/year POE unit, one 50,000 tons/year ethylene-propylene rubber unit, and supporting 2000 Nm³/h electrolytic water hydrogen production facilities. As of July 2026, the overall construction progress of the project has reached 91.2%, and it is expected to commence production around September 2026.
