Mafatlal Industries had previously notified the exchange of the project on December 11, 2025, in accordance with applicable SEBI regulations. Following the commencement of power generation, the company submitted operational details to BSE Limited on July 20, 2026. The commissioning of this solar power plant helps reduce the factory's electricity costs, decrease reliance on grid power, and correspondingly lower carbon emissions. Mafatlal Industries stated that this project is a key component of the company's sustainable development strategy.

The Nadiad factory is one of Mafatlal Industries' main production bases with significant power demand. This solar power plant adopts a ground-mounted installation method, utilizing available land resources around the factory to achieve on-site clean energy consumption without affecting normal production operations. The project was completed through collaboration between Mafatlal Industries' internal team and external engineering contractors, taking approximately one year from project planning to commissioning.

Mafatlal Industries stated that this solar power plant is part of the company's sustainable development strategy, and it will continue to explore the application of renewable energy in manufacturing operations to reduce its carbon footprint and enhance energy self-sufficiency.
