en.Wedoany.com Reported - AbraSilver Resource Corp. has submitted the technical report for the final feasibility study (DFS) of its Diablillos silver-gold project in Salta Province, Argentina, to regulatory authorities, marking a new phase in the project's development. The report, prepared in accordance with Canadian National Instrument 43-101, confirms the results announced by the company in June and makes no material changes to the previously submitted development plan.

The study envisions open-pit mining with a supporting processing plant with a daily capacity of 9,000 tonnes. Under a base-case scenario with a silver price of $50 per ounce and a gold price of $3,650 per ounce, the project has an after-tax net present value (NPV) of $3 billion, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 41.9%, and an estimated payback period of 1.7 years. The Diablillos project has proven and probable reserves of 77.9 million tonnes, containing approximately 183 million ounces of silver and 1.8 million ounces of gold, placing it among the world's largest undeveloped silver projects.

The company also provided an update on the preliminary economic assessment (PEA), which analyzes the feasibility of adding a heap leach operation to process low-grade ore. The latest round of metallurgical test results shows gold recovery rates higher than initially expected and indicates greater potential for such processing. Based on these results, the company will first update the mineral resource estimate to include new areas suitable for heap leaching, enabling the future PEA to more accurately reflect the project's long-term value creation potential. The study results are expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2026.

As the Diablillos project advances, Salta Province continues to strengthen its portfolio of world-class mining projects, consolidating its position as one of the main investment hubs in the Northwest region (NOA), helping to drive local production development and job creation.
