Embraer made the announcement at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. The newly ordered E175 aircraft for FDA will be configured in a single-class layout with 84 seats, with deliveries scheduled for 2027 and 2028 respectively. The E175's proven performance in high-frequency operations and short-haul routes makes it an ideal choice for regional airlines expanding their route networks.

Shunsuke Honda, President of Fuji Dream Airlines, stated that FDA currently operates 15 Embraer aircraft, including two E170s and thirteen E175s. The introduction of new aircraft will enhance capacity, further strengthening the route network connecting communities across Japan, and this order represents an opportunity to further develop the long-term partnership with Embraer.
