en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian articulated spider crane manufacturer BG Lift has appointed the North American distribution subsidiary of Italian spider lift manufacturer CMC as its exclusive distributor in the United States, with the agreement taking effect from early August.
Following the agreement, a batch of BG Lift inventory and demonstration equipment will be shipped to the United States. BG Lift's product line includes articulated or knuckle boom cranes ranging from 600 kg to 40 tons, optionally equipped with diesel or lithium-ion battery power systems, serving markets such as industrial, utility, glass installation, tree care, and plant relocation and installation. The company also manufactures crawler-mounted deck cranes and launched a unique truck-mounted crane last year.
BG Lift had not previously established a formal distribution channel in the United States, though some equipment had been sold directly to local companies. Under the agreement, CMC North America will handle all sales and marketing of BG Lift cranes in the United States, and provide technical support, operational training, service, warranty management, and spare parts supply for all BG Lift equipment nationwide.
Jeff Poggi, CEO of CMC North America, expressed the company's delight at being appointed as the exclusive distributor. He noted that BG Lift has a strong track record in designing and manufacturing high-quality cranes, and that such equipment can address many challenging application scenarios on job sites. Poggi pointed out that growth in the U.S. market is driven by glass installation, industrial and general building contractors, equipment rental fleets, and tree care needs. Adding BG Lift products complements CMC's existing spider lift portfolio, enabling the company to offer customers a broader range of compact lifting solutions from a trusted partner.
Maurizio Piantoni, CEO of BG Lift, stated that partnering with CMC North America to enter the U.S. market is a positive development. He believes CMC North America has built a strong sales, marketing, and distribution team that understands the benefits of access problem-solving equipment.
CMC North America is headquartered in Methuen, Massachusetts, directly north of Boston, and has a nationwide dealer and service network that has continued to expand over the past few years. BG Lift, formerly known as Brennero Gru, is located in Cavaion Veronese near Lake Garda, northwest of Verona, and has been manufacturing cranes since 1991.
