en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK rental company Southern Cranes & Access has taken delivery of two Liebherr all-terrain cranes, including a 150-tonne-class LTM 1150-5.3 and a 300-tonne-class LTM 1300-6.4.

The six-axle LTM 1300-6.4 was updated in May 2024, featuring an eight-section 90-meter main boom topped with an 11.5 to 20-meter double-fold swing-away extension, with two 7-meter inserts available between the boom head and the swing-away, achieving a maximum tip height of 121 meters. This model also comes with the Variobase Plus outrigger setting system, providing a maximum rear outrigger spread of up to 9.4 meters, and is equipped with the AutoBallast system.

The five-axle LTM 1150-5.3 features a 66-meter seven-section main boom, along with a 10.8 to 19-meter double-fold swing-away extension that can be hydraulically offset by up to 40 degrees. A 7-meter insert can be fitted between the boom head and the extension, bringing the maximum tip height to nearly 95 meters and a maximum working radius of 72 meters. The crane has already been put to work on a project in London, assisting with spot-lift installations for the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Southbank Centre on the Thames.

Kelvin Prince, director of Southern Cranes & Access, said the addition of these two Liebherr cranes represents a significant investment in the company's continued growth. The LTM 1150-5.3 and LTM 1300-6.4 provide greater lifting capacity, working radius, and versatility, enabling the company to meet the increasingly complex demands of customers in London and the south of England.

Founded in 1997, Southern Cranes & Access is a family-owned business headquartered in Horsham, south of London, serving London and a large area of the southeast. The company's fleet includes all-terrain, mobile self-erecting tower, and spider cranes, as well as access platforms and telehandlers, covering both fixed-frame and 360-degree slew models.
