en.Wedoany.com Reported - Pramac has completed the deployment of a hybrid solar-plus-storage system for a fruit and vegetable industry customer in the Canary Islands. The project combines an existing 221 kWp photovoltaic plant with a battery energy storage system (BESS) totaling 564 kWh of capacity and 270 kW of discharge power, specifically designed to suit the customer's continuous and demanding electricity consumption profile.

The customer's high energy consumption and steady, continuous demand resulted in substantial electricity bills and heavy reliance on the grid. The solution needed to simultaneously address three key requirements: technical performance, economic viability, and future scalability.
The installed solution is based on three Pramac BSO MAX 90/188 kWh systems. These all-in-one units are designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, integrating energy storage, power electronics, and energy management into a compact system, and are equipped with safety measures such as continuous battery cell monitoring, thermal sensors, and fire suppression systems, enabling them to withstand demanding industrial operating conditions.
The combination of solar and storage helps the customer maximize self-consumption, reduce energy fed back into the grid, optimize electricity costs by shifting energy demand, stabilize load profiles, and increase energy independence. The system is designed as a scalable infrastructure, leaving room for future capacity expansion, process electrification, or the integration of new energy assets.
The entire installation is managed by Pramac's EMS (Energy Management System). This system combines intelligent cloud connectivity with digital twin technology to monitor and optimize system performance in real time, providing a detailed view of energy flows, asset status, and key performance indicators. The EMS relies on server infrastructure located in Germany as well as proprietary technology development and support, ensuring safety, reliability, and professional assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
