As of August 11, Erenhot Railway Port had handled 2,999 China-Europe freight trains this year, transporting 2.8322 million tons of cargo, with train numbers and cargo volume up 11.57% and 26.74% year-on-year, respectively. The 1295th train departing on August 12 became the 3,000th China-Europe freight train to pass through the port this year.

Erenhot Railway Port is the only entry-exit railway port for the "central corridor" of China-Europe freight trains and the largest railway port between China and Mongolia. Currently, 76 China-Europe freight train routes operate through the port, reaching over 70 hub stations in more than 10 countries, including Germany and Poland, and connecting most of the departure cities for China-Europe freight trains across China.

The cargo carried by China-Europe freight trains through this port has gradually expanded from early-stage metals, chemical, and light industrial products to new energy vehicles, electronic products, and household appliances. In 2025, Erenhot Railway Port handled over 3,900 China-Europe freight trains throughout the year, transporting more than 450,000 TEUs of cargo.
