en.Wedoany.com Reported - AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE: AER) announced on August 14 that it has delivered its tenth Boeing 787 aircraft to Aeroméxico (Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V.). The delivery of this 787-9 marks two milestones simultaneously: AerCap completes its 100th 787 delivery from its direct order book with Boeing, while Aeroméxico takes delivery of its 25th Dreamliner. AerCap is currently the world's largest owner of the Boeing 787, holding the largest 787 order book among leasing companies, with approximately 140 aircraft owned and on order.
Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer of AerCap, stated that the delivery of the 787-9 to long-standing key customer Aeroméxico represents two significant milestones. The 787 remains one of the most attractive widebody aircraft in service today, combining operational economics, performance, and passenger comfort, and will support Aeroméxico's continued growth while enhancing its fleet efficiency and sustainability. Anderson also thanked Aeroméxico for its continued partnership and expressed anticipation in supporting the airline's future fleet requirements.
Max Alvarez, Senior Vice President of Fleet and Business Development at Aeroméxico, stated that receiving the 25th Boeing 787 is a significant milestone in the airline's fleet strategy, reflecting its commitment to consolidating its position as a modern, efficient, world-class airline. The Dreamliner has played a key role in expanding the long-haul route network while delivering the reliability, efficiency, and onboard experience that customers expect. Alvarez noted that Aeroméxico is proud to celebrate this milestone together with Boeing and AerCap and looks forward to continuing to expand the 787's role in Aeroméxico's future.
Patrick McKelvey, Vice President of Global Leasing Commercial Sales and Marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, noted that Boeing has now delivered more 787s to AerCap than to any other customer. AerCap became the first leasing company to receive a 787 in 2013, and 13 years later, the two companies continue to collaborate in widebody technology, supporting the growth of AerCap and its customers by providing some of the industry's most sought-after advanced widebody technology.
Headquartered in Dublin and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (AER), AerCap provides fleet solutions to approximately 300 customers worldwide. Aeroméxico is a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance, which comprises 18 partner airlines with a route network covering more than 145 countries. Aeroméxico's current fleet consists of Boeing 787, 737, and Embraer 190 aircraft.
