Songhua River Super Bridge in Harbin, Constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., Successfully Completed Full-Line Closure
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 18, the Songhua River Super Bridge of the Harbin North Ring Project in Heilongjiang, constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully closed. On the Songhua River, with the pouring of the final batch of concrete, the bridge's structural system was formally closed, laying the foundation for the subsequent full-line completion and opening to traffic.

The Songhua River Super Bridge is located in Hulan District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, spanning the main navigation channel and the standby navigation channel of the Songhua River. The bridge has a total length of 4,668.5 meters and innovatively adopts a combined form of "single-pylon composite girder cable-stayed bridge + swallow-wing through tied-arch bridge," making it a key cross-river hub project of the Harbin metropolitan ring expressway. Among them, the standby navigation channel bridge constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. is a single-pylon double-cable-plane steel-concrete composite girder cable-stayed bridge, located at the center of the river, and is the first single-pylon spatial cable-plane composite girder cable-stayed bridge in Heilongjiang. The bridge features a span arrangement of 2×120 meters, with the main girder adopting a composite structure of double-sided I-shaped steel girders and precast concrete deck slabs. The main pylon is a "herringbone"-shaped special-shaped tower with a total height of 120 meters, equipped with 18 pairs of stay cables on a single pylon, representing a highly representative innovative bridge structure in cold regions.

The bridge crosses the Songhua River, the third-largest inland river in China. During construction, the project team overcame multiple challenges such as extreme cold, ecological sensitivity, and complex construction environments. Based on the characteristics of the severe cold northeastern region, a precise winter-specific construction plan was formulated, optimizing concrete mix ratios and upgrading insulation and curing processes. Through measures such as building insulation sheds and steam curing, technical difficulties including concrete freeze-thaw cycles and structural cracking under extreme cold conditions were effectively resolved. A dedicated technical team was established to repeatedly discuss and optimize plans, achieving a daily construction progress of 0.64 meters for the upper pylon columns, setting a new record for similar bridge construction in Northeast China. The stay cable installation adopted a "smart traction + 3D positioning" process, achieving millimeter-level precise positioning. During construction, three technical achievements of the project team were authorized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

Upon completion, the bridge will form a new transportation artery connecting the north and south of Harbin, effectively relieving through-traffic pressure. Agricultural products and tourism resources from towns along the river will have direct access to the urban area via the expressway network, bringing new opportunities for wetlands and rural tourism along the Songhua River, and injecting strong momentum into coordinated high-quality urban development.

As a key control project of the Yongyuan to Shuangjing section of the northern ring of the Harbin metropolitan ring expressway, the construction of the Songhua River Super Bridge is a concrete practice in implementing the national strategy of comprehensively revitalizing the old industrial base in Northeast China, playing an important role in improving the connection between the national expressway network and regional road networks and optimizing the allocation of transportation resources in Northeast China.
