Discover Airlines to Launch Four Routes from Germany to UK and Ireland in Summer 2027
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Discover Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, has announced that it will launch four direct routes connecting destinations in the UK and Ireland with Germany in summer 2027, marking the airline's first foray into the British Isles.

From March 2027, Discover Airlines will operate six weekly flights between its Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) hub and Glasgow (GLA); from April, it will launch a once-weekly route from Frankfurt to Shannon (SNN) in the Republic of Ireland; from May, a twice-weekly route from Frankfurt to Bristol (BRS); and from June, a once-weekly route from Frankfurt to Inverness (INV).
From May 16, 2027, Discover Airlines will also operate a twice-weekly service between Munich (MUC) and Glasgow (GLA), a route previously operated by Lufthansa's mainline carrier.
All of the aforementioned routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft and will, in principle, run only during the summer season.
Discover Airlines typically focuses on warm destinations in Southern Europe and the tropics from Germany; this route selection, however, targets the tourism potential of regions such as the Scottish Highlands and the English countryside in the southwest, with marketing efforts primarily directed at German travelers.
Discover Airlines was renamed in 2023 from its former name "Eurowing Discovery" and is not the same entity as Eurowings, Lufthansa's low-cost subsidiary. The airline is currently in an expansion phase, with its fleet expected to grow to 40 aircraft by 2028, half of which will be wide-body jets and the other half A320s.
