MINTH Launches Mass Production of Humanoid Robots in Serbia

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 29, MINTH Group launched mass production of humanoid robots and activated the related production line at its Minth Metal Parts Majur facility in Šabac, Serbia. The Development Agency of Serbia described it as the first mass production project for humanoid robots in Europe; the Serbian government confirmed that the factory was officially inaugurated that day, with the first robot off the line receiving its serial number. The project is being implemented by MINTH Group in partnership with AGIBOT.

The initial investment in the Šabac robot production base amounts to €20 million. According to the initial arrangements announced by the Serbian government, more than 5,000 robots will be assembled annually; MINTH Group subsequently plans to build a robot industrial park in Inđija, with a total planned investment of €200 million. Upon completion of all projects, the planned annual production capacity for humanoid robots and robotic dogs will reach up to 20,000 units, with products targeting European and other markets.

The Šabac production line leverages MINTH Group's existing manufacturing facilities, while AGIBOT provides humanoid robot, artificial intelligence, and robotic system technologies. Qin Ronghua, founder of MINTH Group, stated that the currently activated line is for humanoid robot production and assembly, with plans to expand the product range to include drones and advanced batteries in the future.

AGIBOT started its Shanghai factory in early 2024, produced its first batch of 1,000 general-purpose robots by early 2025, and reached a cumulative output of 15,000 units by mid-2026. According to corporate data released by the Development Agency of Serbia, AGIBOT delivered 5,168 humanoid robots in 2025 and approximately 8,400 units in the first half of 2026. In the next phase, MINTH Group plans to build the Inđija Robot Industrial Park, with the first foundation-laying milestone scheduled for mid-September.
