Track Laying Begins Across Entire New Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway in China

On that day, construction workers from China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group laid the first pair of 500-meter-long steel rails onto the ballastless track at the track-laying site in Shitang Town, Feidong County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, marking the project's transition from civil engineering and track structure construction to the long-rail laying phase.

This laying operation utilizes 500-meter-long steel rails. Construction workers completed the transportation, positioning, and installation of the long rails at the site. After the first pair of long rails was set into the ballastless track, full-scale track laying along the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway officially commenced.

The new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-Speed Railway is incorporated into the Yangtze River corridor of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network under China's national medium- and long-term railway network plan, connecting cities including Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hefei. Following the initiation of track laying, subsequent construction will continue to advance around the laying of long rails across the entire line.
