en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 14, UK engineering equipment manufacturer Sharp & Tappin Technology announced that it will work with US partner Measured Solutions to promote its Compcut series composite cutting and machining equipment in the US market, and plans to showcase the Compcut ACS 300 composite cutting equipment at CAMX 2026, to be held in Atlanta, USA, from September 22 to 24. Under this cooperation, Measured Solutions will provide local US market and customer service support, while Sharp & Tappin will be responsible for equipment technical and engineering support.

Compcut is Sharp & Tappin's composite machining equipment business, with products covering the ACS series composite sawing equipment and the PCR series precision composite milling equipment. Among them, the ACS 300, the focus of this showcase, uses an enclosed automatic cutting structure and is mainly intended for specimen preparation of composite materials such as carbon fiber and glass fiber, and can be used for straight-line precision cutting of composite test coupons. According to Sharp & Tappin's official information, the ACS series cutting parallelism and perpendicularity accuracy can reach approximately 0.03 mm, and it supports automated, repeatable processing.

This entry into the US market is not the first time this series of equipment has been sold locally. Sharp & Tappin stated that the first batch of Compcut equipment has already been put into use in the United States. After establishing cooperation with Measured Solutions, it will further establish local customer contact and after-sales support channels, and use CAMX 2026 as a milestone to expand its US market coverage. Measured Solutions mainly serves the North American fiber and yarn-related industries and will be responsible for local customer contact and market support.

Sharp & Tappin was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Devon, UK. Its Compcut business currently has formed product lines including the ACS 300, ACS 600, and ACS 1200 linear cutting equipment, as well as the PCR 300, PCR 600, and PCR 1200 three-axis precision composite machining equipment, with applications covering the processing of composite test samples, prototypes, and production parts.
