en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 20, Saudi Arabia's Diriyah Company advanced the tender for the East Wadi Bridge project in Diriyah Phase 2, Riyadh, inviting contractors to participate in prequalification. The bridge features a single-span post-tensioned prestressed concrete structure with a clear span of 100 meters and a width of 44 meters, connecting Infrastructure Packages 1 and 2 of Diriyah Gate Phase 2. The deadline for submitting prequalification documents is December 10.

The East Wadi Bridge is an internal arterial road connection project within Diriyah Phase 2. The bridge main structure adopts an integral abutment design and includes 4 architectural landscape towers. The bridge construction scope covers the main concrete structure, approach transition slabs, access roads, and pavement works, along with associated earthworks, architectural finishes, and facade cladding. The roads at both ends of the bridge will connect with adjacent infrastructure packages, forming a road corridor across the East Wadi area.

The construction contract also includes the installation of bridge railings, vehicle collision protection systems, waterproofing facilities, and related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and drainage systems. The contractor is required to complete utility interface connections, temporary works, system testing, and commissioning. The construction scope covers the bridge main structure, road supporting works, and ancillary facilities.

Diriyah Company is responsible for providing the detailed engineering design, while the awarded contractor will undertake the preparation of construction methods and implementation plans. This prequalification round was launched on September 14, and contractors must submit application documents by December 10. The project procurement will proceed based on the qualification review results.

The East Wadi Bridge is located within the overall Diriyah development area in the northwest of central Riyadh, with a planned area of approximately 14 square kilometers, encompassing cultural facilities, hotels, residential, and commercial developments. Diriyah Phase 2 has been progressively advancing hotel complexes, cultural buildings, and regional infrastructure. The East Wadi Bridge will serve as the arterial road connection between two of its infrastructure packages.
